Short Labs

Lab #1 – Create Content for a Post
Login to LAB WordPress site: http://learnwp.us/class/wp-login.php
Notice the limited options on the dashboard since you are an AUTHOR
Create a new Post and save as DRAFT or PENDING REVIEW
Logout and Notify the instructor

Lab #2 – Publish Post
Login again, you are now an Editor
Create a new CATEGORY for blog posts (Example: your-name category)
Review your post & change the current category to new category
View your new post in the Home page at https://class.learnwp.us

Lab #3 – Create Page & Media
Create a new Page [use your first name]
Add some content to your page. You can cut a paste from “Lorem ipsum” at http://www.inrebus.com/loremipsum.php

Select where in your document you would like to insert a picture by clicking in that place, then click on Add Media from the media library [or from your computer]
Add a picture to the page by clicking on “Add Media” button
Select Media Library, select a picture or multimedia file, then click on “Insert into page” blue button
Publish your page!

Log out when complete and notify your instructor
