  • For May’s meetup, like we did last August, we’re doing lightning talks.

For those not familiar, a “lightning” talk (as the name might imply) is a talk delivered in about 5 minutes. If you have a relevant topic you’d like to share with the group, this is a great opportunity to do so.

It’s important to note that it does not *have* to be a development-related talk. Topics related to business, marketing, entrepreneurship, design, content strategy, publishing, or really anything that a WordPress meetup go-er would find interesting…are all more than welcome.

We’re aiming to have about 5-6 talks, which will give speakers time for about a 5 minute presentation with room for a brief round of questions each, along with our usual networking and social time.

If you’re interested in speaking, please get in touch with the organizers by sending a message over Meetup.com. It’s totally fine if you have never spoken at a meetup before.

We’ll update this description with new talks as they are confirmed.

“A Brief History of Audio and/or Media File Formats on the Web”by Jackie Apel,  Front-End Web Designer and Content Manager

“Who Remembers Olga Korbut?” by Cindy Delano, Web Developer, Editor, Artist

“Google Search Console 101” by Joseph Hirschhorn Howard, Search Engine Marketer

“WordPress for Business – Things you may have missed” by Grant Price of ByRivers Tech LLC / WP-Tutoring.com

This meetup’s food, drink, and venue are once again sponsored by CHIEF.
